BQ II: Is the public transport any good?

There is a bus stop right outside my house and I live in Brisbane. It comes every hour, but it’s generally within 5 minutes either side of the scheduled time. And normally even in peak hour it’s alright to get to the city. Although it used to be absolutely terrible not too long ago.

Across the road from my street there is a bus stop and the bus comes every 5 mins
BQ: I live in London
BQ II: Its ok, sometimes there is traffic on Fridays and diversions

I’m just wondering since I’m taking a trip to DC and I will be touring the capital and I wanted to know if I could actually go into the house chamber and watch the congressmen and women debate. If not is the senate open to the general public? Do I need permission from my representative or senator?

The Senate and House Galleries are open to visitors whenever either body is in session. In addition, the House Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, when the House is not in session. The last entry may be earlier than 4:15 p.m. based upon demand. Visitors should arrive prior to 4 p.m. for the best opportunity to view the House Gallery. The House Gallery is closed on holidays and is subject to unplanned temporary closures when the House is out of session. The Senate Gallery is open during scheduled recesses, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
