    you may be a picky eater. but when you your out in the woods, in a situation your not gonna hesitate. and most peaple go buy one first then try it before your in a emergency situation. that way you know when your out in the woods or something and you need it, you already know.

    How the heck are they going to make it in a survival situation? Unbelievable.

    I bought a case of the ER bars, back when you did your first vid about them. I have plenty of storable foods, but figure those will be good as a supplement, or for barter, when things get really scarce.

    Emergency ration …
    Emergency ration bars like these are an excellent part of layered preparedness. I keep these in my vehicle emergency kits because they withstand heat well, up to 140f and have a 5 year shelf life. MRE’s are great for emergency kits and have a very long shelf life if stored in cool conditions. They do not last very long kept in high heat.

    It’s good that you’re preparing for emergencies.
    But it’s cheaper, healthier & saner to keep 1 year’s worth of food in your home.

    The beans & rice thing: unless you eat beans & rice everyday you’re going to be in world of trouble in an emergency.
    It is VITAL that children as well as adults eat the foods that they are accustomed to during a crisis.
    Turn off the gas, water & electric next weekend.
    Try to live on beans, rice & emergency rations.
    It’s an education & will help you prepare

    i’ve eaten mres before…im just saying man…might want to go to efoodsdirect and get something better instead…or something that doesnt have msg in it.

    im not buying anymore storable food though.

    im just going to try to store it in heaven for future need. that is the only secure way.

    Leiflton, was this comment really necessary? Our soldiers seem to do fine eating them correct? Do you have anything in your current diet that is in the least bit unhealthy? If you do then this remark is a little hypocritical. Lets leave the sarcasm on the other sites and not ridicule those who are honestly trying to provide useful information on foods that have a long shelf life. Even the bar Daniel is chewing on is full of sugar and fat, are you going to zing a one liner at him also?

    That doesn’t sound healthy at all. I’d stay away from processed foods. I’d stock up on some type of grain and keep a few chickens as pets for eggs.

    Does anyone know a good place in the UK for buying food like that? I dont want to be having food shipped in from America. It seems like a bit of a waste when it comes to postage
