Whats the healthiest junk food chocolate bar?

Before you throw your hands up and say "Nothing – it doesnt exist" I am just asking from a curiousity standpoint. If you had to choose the healthiest or least "bad for you" average chocolate bar from the convenience store – what would you choose.

You cant say "90% cocoa" or granola bar. It has to be a common chocolate bar by Nestle or Cadbury or any other major confectionist.

Whichever you decide, you should get one with dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate. Dark chocolate is actually good for you, since it contains anti-oxidants we all need to maintain our health. Milk chocolate is basically empty fat and/or starch. I would suggest Hershey’s dark chocolate bar. Also, the Three Musketeer’s dark chocolate and mint bar is good, and it also has less sugar than others.

Another thing to remember with any candy bar is that they’re loaded with useless sugar, which can contribute to weight gain, hypertension and diabetes.

  3. Well, I don’t know all of the different brands…it’s been a while since I’ve looked. But try to find one with a few grams of protein and a few grams of fiber.

Bars that contain protein and fiber are more likely to fill you up. Anything else will probably be digested pretty quickly, meaning you are either hungry an hour later, or are never satisfied and immediately want more food.

  4. Lindt’s 90% dark chocolate. it is made by a major confectionist. some protein bars are healthy, but not all of them are! Powerbars are OK at best.
