What can I make a king size head board out of?

I found sheets of cork being very warm, easy to replace if needs to be and soft to touch at the same time.

Depending on personal taste and if you do not intend just to sleep in that bed, a mirror with baroque style frame in purple colour will produce more than just one function.

P.S.

  1. Oak and Cherry are the best, but any wood will suffice

  2. Use your imagination, The Sky’s the limit. I made one for my wife out of our grandsons baby bed. Took the two ends and bolted them together. Looks great and has some sentimental value.

  3. Could even start with plywood and add batting under a fabric stapled to the back then use upholstery tacks for a quilted look.

  4. An old wooden door.

  5. Mine is made out of a 1920s vintage door. I simply cleaned it up centered it behind the bed then used wall anchors to mount it (drilled for counter suck holes in the corners).
I was going to mount it with wire, like a picture frame, but the wall anchor system is much safer and makes it snug to the wall.

    It’s very cool!
