The son of the great Ali Farka paying tribute to the father with a cover of one of his father’s most beloved songs, “Ai Du,” which appeared in films such as “Unfaithful” and “L’Auberge Espagnole.” Vieux is also playing the late Ali’s guitar during this rendition. Much respect Mr Ali Farka Toure’ … rest … we will miss you, one of the greatest Blues Musicians EVER, if not the best.
The REAL roots of the blues is in the history and feeling of your music. I can definitely feel it, and I am from the Mississippi river area myself so I appreciate GOOD blues when I hear it. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Bless you Mr Toure’. much respect.
