Public mall fursuit outing in downtown Bothell Part 2 of 2
Got together with a few friends and invaded the downtown area of Bothell, Washington in fursuit. It’s really a neat little area with a few blocks of strip-mall type stores and a real at-home community feel. It was a blast to get out there and our reception was great! One of the great things about walking around downtown Bothell is the number of props to mess around with, from hand-painted wood carvings that look like people to rocks that have very furry-looking plaques on them.
We put quite a few smiles on people’s faces that afternoon and got more than a few quizzical looks and car horns alike but it was great to spread some furry cheer on what was a fairly gloomy and rainy day. This was our first time in suit in our hometown and something we’d love to do again!
Featuring in suit: Kijani Lion, Ithabise, Scout Fox (Drewfus T. Fox)
Stores Visited: (spread across both videos)
Mills Music
Main Street Ale House
Blooming Nails and Spa
Countryside Donut House
Hillcrest Bakery
About a year ago when I first entered the furry fandom I watched a lot of public fursuiting videos on Youtube like this one and they always brought a smile to my face and were very inspiring to me as a future suiter. Now it feels good to be able to contribute some of my own!
And as always thanks for watching!

Those are fursuit …
Those are fursuit sandals, which are great because they keep the soles of your fursuit feet clean and dry. I really wish I had them, as you can tell by the end of this video my footpaws (made of foam) soaked up water like a sponge and got really heavy and uncomfortable.

Yes, it is legal to …
Yes, it is legal to fursuit in MOST places in public. If you want to avoid hassle, go in as large a group as possible and stay outside. A lot of stores don’t like big costumed characters with masks for security reasons… if you’re planning on fursuiting at a big/major store it’s always best to call first before you get kicked out. Also, never fursuit at in indoor shopping mall without prior consent either. Stuff like we do in this video, walking down the street, is a safe and fun way.

I wuv da aminals.
Yes, Zoos do not …
Yes, Zoos do not allow fursuits inside zoo grounds for that reason, as well as security. Point Defiance was actually the site for a meetup last year and that was the case, as was Woodland Park Zoo. But for the latter we had tons of fun fursuiting outside the gate on probably the busiest day of the year!
Another idea would …
Another idea would be Point Defiance Zoo, but.. I dunno. You’d probably need a sponsor there too. And the animals might freak out.
Aww.. that sucks.
Aww.. that sucks.
We actually thought …
We actually thought about it, but we would have to be sponsored by the Fair itself to not get kicked out. They’re pretty strict there about security so having masks, especially with the amount of kids around, wouldn’t work for them. But it would be a great venue!
