I’m 20 years old …
I’m 20 years old and was put on several medications for adhd when I was in school, but one thing I hated about them, was I wasn’t me. Yes I did my work, my grades improved and all, but while everything my teachers and parents wanted improved, I lost a part of me. While I was on meds I changed everything about me constantly to please those around me. Now I can’t have a healthy relationship because I still try to change. I’m against meds for add/adhd, they can really hurt people psychologically.

Wonderful technique for conformity. Anyone whose mind works differently or thinks outside the box, just give them a pill and they’ll soon become a productive member of society who follows authority and never dreams of anything more. Start them early, so it’s harder for them to get off the drug. If only we’d thought of it sooner, there’d have been fewer starving artists and hippies around.

the joke at the end wrecked the humor for me, when they make a point of making it sound like the parents are forcing the drugs into the schools… anyone who has actually dealt with public schools knows the teachers want to dope up any kid who is even a little deviant, & teachers will just push, push, push… I even know one mom who lied & told the school the kid was drugged, then told the kid shape up or you WILL BE … haha worked too.
