As for your Lamborghini scenario, I could have just had liability and that would have covered it (at 80 dollars a year). This was implied in my comment as it is the law to have car insurance. And again, your position that people would be ruined if they didn’t have car insurance; liability would suffice for everyone. If losing a car ruins you, then you couldn’t afford it anyway (I speak of the average owner, not Mr Laborghini).

Why would you make such a generalized comment like that? Obviously, not every American is money-hungry nor are they cold-hearted. Even in Canada (where I live) there exist people, political groups, and obviously insurance companies who would love to privatize our health-care system. It’s the fact that they’ve, and I use this term loosely, allowed their goverment and insurance companies get away with murder.
