  1. I want Bill Clinton …
I want Bill Clinton back, he never sold out so easily!!!!!!!

  2. Well, in the …
Well, in the background progressive democrats are doing a head count to see who will sign on to the public option while obama tries to pass his “deal”. Also states are already running single payer systems. I believe their are four who are doing it so far. This is the way canada implemented their single payer system.

  3. Of course life is …
Of course life is unpredictable at best and I’m in no way telling anyone not to be insured. If you pour through the actuarials though, it’s a pretty good bet that nothing catastrophic is going to occur. This is where they can scam you. They prey upon fears that are sometimes unfounded.

  4. Not buying …
Not buying insurance actually puts yourself at more risk b/c your costs as an individual are unpredictable. Insurance costs are known and therefore it is easy to manage risk. If you don’t get insurance then you could pay unpredictably high costs. But insurance is predictable and you know your costs beforehand. I’m only defending the concept of insurance. I do not condone practices like rate hikes or dropping coverage b/c that allows the company to renege on their contract and game the system.

  5. America has fallen …
America has fallen and it can’t get up!

  6. Fuck Obama
    Obama

  7. Does anyone think …
Does anyone think the public option will ever come to fruition?

  8. Exactly! The point …
Exactly! The point is that either way YOU take the risk.. not the insurance company. They want to tell you that if you don’t buy their product, you’re screwed if anything happens to you and yours. if you do and bad luck on you if you don’t. Catastrophie will find you either way.
It’s a business that plays on your fears. It’s a terrrible way to make a profit. I hate that they try to make it a poker game. It’s needed and yet sometimes not ethical as a whole. It needs to be fixed and fair.

  9. Do you think any …
Do you think any other person elected president will do better. All politics for a long time has been play on word and did something else behind the scenes. Any decent candidate will not make it to the high office. The words — of the people by the people for the people are now just empty echos.

    Its astonishing …
Its astonishing that the media and the public are not up in arms about these types of deals. It is not uncommon to hear on the news that Congress or the president met with some industry big-wigs and ask them what the industry would like to see. the industry! You’re the government! You make the laws. If the CEO’s want to cry, tough shit. If you enforce the laws, then corporations have to follow them, it is as simple as that. The American people should expect no less.

  11. here’s my say…no …
here’s my say…no public option equal no vote for you next election Obama, clear enough for you

  12. the economy’s …
the economy’s eventually gonna collapse one way or the other. obviously it’d be nice to have everything not favoring the republicans, but even a public option isn’t a perfect system. everyone coming out of school who wants to work hard wants to be a doctor and appeasing those people will probably be easier in terms of motivating the people to create and hold jobs.

with a system founded on an obsession with freedom(chaos), efficiency can’t exist without realizing our bondage with survival needs.

    Most Americans want …
Most Americans want the health care and the reform – 69%. To fail on this is to commit political suicide. For all of them. AS for the hospitals, that’s just crazy! Everybody knows the reason everything is so expensive is because of the uninsured. We are already paying for the uninsured. In high cost of rates and services. So the hospitals are the wolves in sheep’s clothing huh. It’s like a feeding frenzy; pharma, insurance, hospitals. It’s obscene actually. Drug, charge, admit and repeat.

  14. I disagree, though …
I disagree, though I am disappointed in the results. This is the irony, Obama made a deal face to face with them, and the right calls him a socialist?? This is about as bend over backwards capitalistic a solution as you can get! They are better than the RWers in that they at least are trying to do something. When the GOP is in power nothing gets done with health care, period.

  15. Nope. Trust me, …
Nope. Trust me, Doctors in the UK, France, even Canada are making money hand over fist. And the vast majority of Doctors, the world over, recognize that universal health care is not only the ethical policy it is also the most fiscally sensible.

  16. this is one thing i …
this is one thing i was wondering….im for the public option and for the most part im for universal healthcare….but does this in anyway take the incentive for ppl to become doctors if they arent going to be making the big money that they are making now?

  18. @tehant1liberal get …
@tehant1liberal get the out of here…..why would u ever listen to people like beck for real news?

  19. It’s a fact: MOST …
It’s a fact: MOST Americans want a public option in health reform. Fact. Cannot be argued.

  20. @tehant1liberal

    @tehant1liberal

Did Obama win the election: yes
Did he promise health care with public option:
    Yes

indeed that was one of his big changes
    and the reason he won.

so it offends me that you say
the majority dont want health care bill.
now if you say they dont want this backroom deal health care bill, then thats true.

  21. Your entire post …
Your entire post and comment is completely absurd and hilarious. I feel bad for your mother.

    the reason obama is …
the reason obama is backing off of this govenment takeover is because the majority of the american people who dont want a socialist government to murder their family to save money stood up and said, in america we dont ration health care, and we dont decide who lives and dies only god can do that. cenk always imagines these made up corporate conspiracies, but yet hes so biased he cant see the socialist plots that beck talks about, thats why i watch fox news for real news, and TYT for laughs

  23. Adam Smith wrote ” …
Adam Smith wrote “The Wealth of Nations” partly because of his disgust with the cozy relations between the British Government and the chartered corporations like the East India Company. He was against monopolies as antithetical to the free market. It looks like we’re back where we started from – but now, the monopolies claim that they are the free market.

Just can’t keep an old lie down…

    But a Democratic WH …
But a Democratic WH made the deal. They are no better than the RW’ers!!

  25. The problem with …
The problem with right-wingers is they see nothing wrong with people enriching themselves by exploiting labor. Companies are supposed to exist to provide goods and services for the community. They’re not supposed to exist for the owner’s own personal enrichment. Especially enrichment by way of paying employees next to nothing, price gouging consumers, busting unions and leeching taxpayer money when they up.

Adam Smith would be spinning in his grave. He HATED those those types of people.
