  1. yeah, SCREW …
    yeah, SCREW craigslist!!

  2. I think this video …
I think this video shows all of the people in the service industry where life is heading if we don’t take more control in the situation. Don’t let people bully you.
    Stand up for your art.
I have three films that owe me money from deferred payment from about ten years ago. I learn my lesson. Cash Talks. BS walks

  3. I wonder if they …
I wonder if they paid every single location , actor, and crew person on the shoot where they’re making fun of film productions not paying crew. Cause if they did, and did it justly, that means they spent probably $10,000 for this useless 2 minute (although amusing) video.

Locations (going rate $1,000 each) Actor ($150/day each) Crew members ($150-$400 each) plus camera and lighting package. Let’s not forget editing either ($50-$100/hour).

  4. At 35 secs he says …
At 35 secs he says “How much was the taco stand?” At 1.36 secs he says “We tried three entrees”

  5. This was awesome. …
    This was awesome. So True

  6. Right to the point! …
Right to the point! Please work for free on my: student film, music video, art piece, indie feature film, with: your equipment; time; expertise; talent and I’ll gladly pay the next time, if: I get famous; ever see you again; remember you name, contact info.; etc.

  7. So, because the man …
So, because the man had well designed campaign materials that means that all designers are drones? And who said anything about anyone working for free? I would very much like you to find a quote where anyone said that. Sharing an equitable tax burden, volunteerism, and charity are not enemies of a capitalist society.

Stop being so angry and maybe you’ll see that.

  8. Really? I mean… …
    Really? I mean…REALLY?
When you can think about ANYONE and I mean any other living, breathing person on the planet besides the one who you see when you look in the mirror it will be what I would consider to be a landmark event.

  9. That is so perfect, …
That is so perfect, so right on the mark. I get this crap in my business all the time.

  10. hi, could anybody …
hi, could anybody help to understand what say guys in scenes in cafe in 35 sec. and 1.36 sec. ?? my english is not native…i would greatly appreciate help :)

  11. Funny in more ways …
Funny in more ways that one.

From the business standpoint of course, but also from a subtle social standpoint where the white man cowers when an angry black man arrives on the scene.

    Hmm.

  12. Who gave you 500 …
    Who gave you 500 dollars?

  13. I bet $500 everyone …
I bet $500 everyone in this video voted for Obama and hates capitalism. Work for free, dummies. The Community Organizer would like you to.

  14. Hey, the designer …
Hey, the designer drones that voted for Obama: I thought all Obama drones were “idealist” progressives who didn’t care about money and were willing to work for free for the Messiah and the Cause. What am I missing here?

  15. Sadly, I’ve seen …
Sadly, I’ve seen this happen before. Good video.

  16. Being in business, …
Being in business, I’ve heard these kind of lines, sad but true. Many people only see one side of the coin. They don’t see all the money going out the back to make all of it happen. This video is great!!! What a VERY GOOD POINT it MAKES!

  17. That was brilliant
    That was brilliant

  18. big knuckles – …
big knuckles – broken nose – cut mark

    it’s a full-contact fighter!

  19. I come and watch …
I come and watch this every month or so and have sent it to plenty of people in the industry. Anyone who has ever trolled for gigs on Craig’s list has seen this a million times. People who want videos, promos or whatever done for free or, in light of the many thousands of dollars you have invested in gear, are willing to pay a whole $50. I will never understand what planet they are from.
    Steve

  20. when they do that …
when they do that to me I just end up doing the work for myself and not giving it to the client. haha. Hey I’m not making any money on this why should he? Like he said it would make a great portfolio piece.

  21. The BEST…and this …
The BEST…and this seems to happen in the world of public relations and advertising quite often – spot on!

  22. I just want to say …
I just want to say in reference to jjjazzycraig:

First, I love you, man. Whether you’re real or just trolling, you’re funny as hell. Second, even as a graphic designer, I can’t really hate on you. Sure, you’re abrasive, possibly insane, and I don’t think I’d ever want to meet you outside of cyberspace, but you make some unfortunately valid points about the design field. Some designers undersell themselves, and I don’t blame you for taking advantage of that.

  23. Wow. Exactly some …
Wow. Exactly some some of my clients when they try to commission me. LOL Money first, dumdums.

  24. I wish they should …
I wish they should this to me in design school before i got a job in advertising. haha had a good laugh though.

  25. This was absolutely …
This was absolutely hilarious. It sums up about 50% of the bids I’ve done in the last year.
